The RA #:9292 is also known as the “Electronics Engineering Law of 2004″ is now fully implemented with the Implementing Rules and Regulations approved by the board. The old law called RA #:5734 was repealed by RA #:9292.
In RA #: 9292, the well known Electronics and Communications Engineer is now known as Electronics Engineer, but it still bears the acronym ECE under the new law. As of this moment most ECE under RA #: 5734 are now in a hurry of doing conversion of their license in order for them to practice their profession.
There are rules and/or steps to follow for the license conversion. The guidelines can be seen at the IECEP-Davao Chapter website.

Is there a new dry seal for Registered Electronics Engr?
I’ve seen the seal for PECE.

Hi Jay Arellano,
I am sorry to tell you that Registered Electronics Engineer under the new law cannot sign and seal the plans. It is only the Professional Electronics Engineers are allowed to sign and seal the plans. However, Registered Electronics Engineers can prepare plans and make a design.
I am requesting you to apply for professional upgrading to the PRC with the recommendation of IECEP Organization. Please read and explore all information at http://www.iecep-davao.org for more details.
I am expecting you to be a PECE soon.
Cheers!
Engr. Canedo
